The most private of our retreats, Gabriel's Yurt is a tranquil hideaway, perfect for those looking to relax in solitude. Writers, artists, or those looking to digital detox love the slow pace of life afforded in this little copse, where you can potter in the kitchen yurt and breakfast outside, read in the hammock or think up your next plot line in the cauldron as the leaves sway above you.

Whether it's to write, paint or just relax in nature, Gabriel's Yurt is a novel place to stay. The Turkomen yurt was built by Gabriel and Jayne Henning and is nestled in a private copse. It has an outdoor iron-cast cauldron hot tub, a spacious, homely yurt with a king-size bed with a bamboo duvet and bedlinen, a wood-burner, a separate kitchen yurt with gas stove and a funky bathroom shack with composting loo and shower. An unusual place to stay, you'll leave feeling completely refreshed.
"We have seen hedgehogs, brown hare, a weasel and lot of birdlife - in a particular a couple of nuthatches up a tree with a weasel trying to climb it... Wish we had captured that on video!."
- Debs & Hamish, Cornwall
